What two or three things take up most of your time as president or vice president of your local association?

Right now, our WEA-PAC drive, getting people to the phone bank for Governor Gregoire, and reaching out to new members have taken up part of my time. However, the majority of my time right now is being used on grievances, investigations, and member issues.
What about combining reaching out to new members WITH the WEA-PAC drive and getting members to volunteer to make phone calls for Gregoire? What would happen if you got a bunch of new members to volunteer all together one night? What about asking a new member to ask other new members to join her/him? Just a thought.

I know some locals are designating "theme" nights for the phoning. One night its NBCT; another its ESA's. Or each building takes a night.
One retired member has set a personal goal of 1000 phone calls!!!! Can we clone her?
